Felex and Abaddon

“Imprisoned with the Pharohs” brought a smile of recompense
- to ask what abnormality the Sphinx did represent
and mystery of mysteries one now I had to know
Oh Abaddon, dear Abaddon of this can you make sense?

Our gate's now closed to you old friend did Abaddon reply
you have no soul to comfort us, nor ladders to ascend
and bear a geas before which neither Time or Death will stand
abomination, cursed priest who causes gods to die

Though fallen from my altar while your kind was heaven sent
with angels fallen... seems as though some kinship I can share
so tarry with me for a while, a thousand years or so
one night of woeful countenance is one that's poorly spent

Would you forever wait your doom relaxing at my maw?
once mighty king who now portrays a jester in the night
to linger here you seek to numb the agony proscribed?
“hell hath no fury...” truly said, damned mouse under a paw

Hell hath no fury keen to match the fates which I have drawn
sufficient not abyssal fire through time to match my crime
but Felex, meaning “lucky one” is what they call my name
and fates will play right up until the final dreaded dawn

What would you know then? Ask away, we've played this game before
old sorcerer of ages who did pull the whiskers out
and left your face instead of hers to greet the morning sun
while even angels cowered and shook before the scarlet whore

A single name I'm asking for, the one I never knew
my others loved and served in spite of all the awe and fear
all goddesses of life and death who give to take away
just breaking hearts and minds and souls of men is what they play

The one you missed you now ask for? A poorly planned demise
now tired and broken back you've come to stroke the demon's mane
and ask the name of one you love that you might kill again
river of blood that fills the sea! from you it's no surprise

Their fire defines a vessel made of water, wind and clay
to gather dreams from worshipers of their own heaven's gate
all blood and death is useless towards a goddess to ascribe
they animate to serve the day, then break to steal away

Her avatar has left her star and swiftly comes to seek
her priest to lead the fodder in this story of the daughter
still addicted, once again you're doomed to fall down on your knees
the drunken orgy reprobate in service you will reek

I'm captured in a maelstrom 'twixt the holy and profane
I know it reads forever All for One and One for All
am I to blame if service always brings me to extremes?
I've serviced one and serviced all regardless of the pain

Destroyer I am called and yet to you I take a bow
once more you bid me lift her veil to show you what you know?
Necrosis when she bedded you did surely rot your mind
thou priest who leads the worship of the ancient holy cow

Oh Abbadon most gracious help to rid me of this bain
the terror of all creation when her blood-lust comes to call
when life or death means nothing nor the wail that will prevail
Oh Abbadon this sybil's game this time you must refrain

Do gods make man or man make gods there lies a sweet detail
eternal wheels are turning and you're just another cog
seeking what the Turk does know but then the Greek did slaughter
but knowing even this against the bitch you'll not prevail

But I have served the Holy Ones most equally you know
some balance might be found against the witches I did drown
and those that burned with righteous flair, as Pope I was most fair
to you delivered, demon now remember what you owe

What's left is last which was the first, all glory to revive
of crystal mountains magically Atlantis shall arise
once more the throne of she who comes to chase away the night
the name you seek, I dare not speak, the one who does survive

Eons have passed of whom you speak, before even my time
ten thousand years perhaps now as best that I can guess
the beginning now approaching is the was and is the is
most worthy Abaddon my friend and partner in my crime

Damascus melds together both the brittle and the strong
from thousand names to nameless owe their glory to the blameless
all founded in the crucible of that which is immutable
the All in One and One in All who yields both right and wrong

Freshly coined word of the day:  "Felux", meaning reciprocal of light - that which causes the dark interference patterns as shown in the above demonstration is not "darkness" per se, but rather it is an opposing light phase which causes destructive interference.

Not just for Defense Anymore - The Helmet of Salvation

A magnum opus

chuck jones WHAT'S THE OPERA DOC - YouTube

“Put on the full armor of God that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything to stand firm.”

Eph 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Eph 6:11   Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Eph 6:12   For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].

Eph 6:13   Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Eph 6:14   Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Eph 6:15   And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Eph 6:16   Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

Eph 6:17   And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Eph 6:18   Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Eph 6:19   And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Eph 6:20   For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
